Description
This is an attempt to explain to straight people what it is like to be lesbian (or any other part of the gay community).
We are brought up to be straight, expected to be straight, and yet our hearts are not happy in the straight world. Once outside of the straight world, we find a world of beauty and freedom...something that the straight people cannot see, because they are not outside of their world. Their sight is limited to what they see, what they know.
We have seen both worlds, and we love the freedom and beauty that is visible only to us.

Beautiful poem, must disagree with description. I'm straight, but I believe all people have rights, a gay couple should have the right to marry and live without hate. So when I hear what some of the GLBT community has to go through it angers me. I am a peaceful person, but the ignorance of the homophobes gets so infuriated so fast. I hope for a day were the GLBT community well not be hated and shunned.
